Steven grew up in Baton Rouge with close family ties to both engineering and construction. Following his passion for making things, he received his M. Arch from the University of Louisiana: Lafayette in 2009 after receiving a Bachelors Science in Architecture in 2008. Steven worked in central Louisiana for several years, working in a multi-disciplinary design firm and an award-winning landscape architecture firm. Steven moved to Nashville, specializing in client-driven, design-intensive work, and after three years, he was drawn back to Louisiana, where he joined the team at DNA Workshop in 2018.
Steven’s drive to redevelop his hometown responsibly and interest in fabrication led him to DNA Workshop. At DNA, Steven works on multiple project types where his experience at multiple scales and disciplines, as well as his interest in and knowledge of the means and methods of construction can be useful to the team.
As a designer, Steven seeks to find ways to solve design problems in ways that enhance our connection between the landscape and built environment. When not in the office, Steven can be found wandering the outdoors, advocating for coastal and wildlife conservation, or making furniture.
